Painting, on European paper, varnished, depicting a Kandyan chief, wearing a headdress, a long pink coat diapered with black stemmed floral sprays, a deep collar, white trousers with vertical stripes of red and blue scrolling foliations, and three long necklaces. In his left hand he holds a white cloth. Beside him are four attendants; behind him is a black and blue elephant, above are two white lotuses and in the upper angles are two flowers growing on scrolling stems.
