Painting, on European paper, varnished, depicting a Kandyan ruler, wearing a headdress, a deep red and yellow collar, a long grey-green coat diapered with floral sprays, crosses and circles in red, and white trousers striped in red. Facing towards him, on each side, is an attendant wearing a voluminous skirt-cloth and round cap of white. One of them holds a circular lotus fan, and the other a sun-screen; all three have moustaches and shaven chins. The background is blue.
