Painting, on European paper, varnished, Kandyan ruler, wearing a headdress, a white jacket diapered with red stars, an ornamental skirtcloth diapered with black stars within a red diamond-trellis and edged in yellow and red, and white trousers with vertical red wavy lines. He holds a short staff in his right hand and a spotted white cloth in his left. Behind him stands a pink stag. On either side stands an attendant, clad in white skirtcloth and round cap covered with small red crosses. The attendant on the right holds a circular lotus fan and the one on the left holds a sun-screen. The background is red.
