Painting, in opaque watercolour on cloth, a schematic view of the Jagannath temple at Puri, Orissa, showing the wooden images of Vishnu in the form of Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and their sister Subhadra in the centre. Below them are the lions guarding the doorway of the temple, and the pillar (sthamba) that stands outside it. Devotees are shown at the top of the painting, and subsidiary shrines at the sides. The ten avatars of Vishnu are shown in an arc above the lions. Black border with alternate white and golden flowers.
