German painter, printmaker, and ceramicist, born 1947, active in United States
Herman moved to Los Angeles from Germany in 1977, and has shown paintings, large-scale woodcuts, and ceramics nationally and internationally. He began teaching in the late 1980s in the department of art at UCLA.
