Depicts a crowded market scene of Burmese and Europeans against a background of buildings.
Women sit with large baskets of produce serving customers who either squat or stand to make their purchase. The women are dressed in white eingyis (jackets) and coloured longis. All their stalls are shaded by simple canopies.
An atmospheric effect is achieved in soft browns, blues and yellows.
