Painted illustration in tones of grey, white and black created for publication in a newspaper/illustrated magazine, probably The Illustrated London News. It shows the opera singer Adelina Patti (1843-1919) performing at the Albert Hall in 1901. The singer is positioned on a stage in the central background of the illustration, the tiered seats surrounding the stage are filled with spectators. The illustration was drawn by the artist Allan Stewart (1865–1951). It has been signed and dated by the artist in the bottom left hand corner.
