Woodbridge, Louise

American photographer and patron, 1848-1925

Woodbridge was a wealthy society woman and patron of the arts. She began photographing around 1884. Woodbridge founded the "Bullock Group", a group of photographers noted for their eastern landscapes, along with Henry Troth, John G. Bullock, Robert S. Redfield, and John C. Brown. Woodbridge was also an accomplished botanist who supported a series of lectures on science in Chester, Pennsylvania, beginning in 1901.
