French sound poet, 1928-2014
French sound poet often incorporated a performance component in his works, such as physical gestures or the use of props, and experimented with tape recorders. In 1976 he organised the first International Festival Of Sound Poetry in Paris, and later, the Polyphonix festival of performance and sound poetry, along with the journals Sound Poetry and Action Poetry.
