Alviani, Getulio

Italian painter and sculptor, 1939-2018

Italian artist and designer whose work was featured in "The Responsive Eye" exhibition at MOMA, 1965. He was part of the Paris art collective Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuelle. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, where he was head of the painting department from 1976-1981, and was the director of what is now the Jesús Soto Museum of Modern Art in Venezuela, 1981-1985. He a curator at the Muzeum Milana Dobesa in Bratislava, Slovakia, from 2000 to 2010.
