Painting, in opaque watercolour on paper, a large elephant is shown against a yellow background. He has become enraged by the fireworks attached to his tusks. Two mahouts (elephant drivers) are on his back: the elephant has grabbed the leg of one of them in his trunk while the other tries to stop him being dragged off the elephant's back. Other attendants surround the elephant and goad him with spears.
