Painting, in opaque watercolour and gold on paper, a standing nobleman with a lady holding a mirror, he wears predominantly white pagri and jama and blue paijama underneath, and stands on the threshold of a chamber, with his hands resting on the hilts of his katar and talwar. Inside the chamber, with pinkish-grey interior, a lady in red choli and green skirt sits on a hexagonal silver seat with legs, holding up a small hand-mirror in her hennaed hand and gazing downwards. Red and green drapes hang above and at each side. There is a yellow margin on three sides and n border. The scene is perhaps a ragamala subject, but has not been identified. The painting may be related to Basohli work of ca. 1700, with a strong additional external influence.
