Painting, opaque watercolour and gold on paper, a Maharaja receiving another Raja, the rulers kneel while a male and female attendant stand to either side and all wear white robes, some with gold sashes. They are on a terrace overlooking a hilly landscape, with a town atop one of the hills, and a shepherd on the hillside.
