One of two from a box containing a card painted with a face and with a veranda covered with a striped rug, and 12 paintings on mica of costumes of Indian dancers, reciters and musicians. The mica costume paintings can be placed interchangeably over the background to depict a human figure. There is also a handwritten note on paper in Queen Mary's handwriting.
