Qingbai Ware Bowl, 1100s–1200s. South China, Southern Song dynasty (1127–1279). Porcelain with pale bluish-white glaze, Qingbai ware; silver mount; bowl: 8.2 x 14.5 cm (3 1/4 x 5 11/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Nancy F. and Joseph P. Keithley Collection Gift 2020.173.1.a The kilns in which qingbai ware were fired used pine wood as fuel, preventing oxidation and creating the distinct blue-green tint.
