Double-chambered Vessel with Figures and Camelid, 1470–1532 (Thermoluminescence date, 1310–1610). Andes, Chimú-Inka, late 15th - mid 16th century. Ceramic; overall: 20.4 x 22.9 cm (8 1/16 x 9 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Norman O. Stone and Ella A. Stone Memorial Fund 2011.112 When this vessel is filled with liquid and tilted back and forth, the camelid emits a whistling sound.
