The Cleveland Museum of Art, Leonard C. Hanna, Jr. Fund 2008.13.7 Du Fu 杜甫 was a great poet and scholar-official during the Tang dynasty.

- Inscription: The artist’s inscription: The new pines wish to grow a thousand feet;/ The evil bamboo should be cut ten thousand stalks. On 20 June 1964, Shihui returned from Suzhou and reported on the trip. She benefited in four ways. First, it was healthy for her body. Second, her mind received training. Third, it deepened her understanding of the Party. Fourth, it strengthened her confidence, intensified learning, and thought remolding. I added: “Given the training from the Party, we should work hard together to achieve better results.” Just when the healthy of my eldest daughter, Yishan, has been gradually improving, I wield the brush to write these lines of Gongbu [Du Fu] for inspiration.
