The Heron Maiden Standing Beneath a Willow Tree, 1868–1912. After Suzuki Harunobu (Japanese, 1724–1770). Color woodblock print; sheet: 27.7 x 20.8 cm (10 7/8 x 8 3/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Kelvin Smith Collection, given by Mrs. Kelvin Smith 1985.310 Suzuki Harunobu produced the original design for this print in about 1766 to 1767. The brighter colors of this print, and in particular the unfaded color of the water indicates that it is of a later date.
