Head of Male Deity, possibly Aiyanar, first half of the 600s. Central Thailand, Phetchabun province, possibly Si Thep. Sandstone; overall: 26.1 cm (10 1/4 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, John L. Severance Fund 1970.11 The head belongs to a figure that may have been one of a pair with the kneeling male figure, formerly in the collection of John D. Rockefeller 3rd, now in the Asia Society Museum.
