- Inscription: 荆浩自號洪谷子,乃撰山水訣一卷。嘗誇人曰:吳道子有筆無墨,項容有墨無筆。洪谷故能獨擅操縱,而關仝師之。絢唐末之冠。此臨其佳者而更屛其疵焉。李世倬 [印]卓氏; 穀齋; 蝯詹上_ [印, 右下]几研精嚴見性情 Translation: Artist's inscription, signature, and 4 seals: Jing Hao called himself “Honggu Zi.” He wrote the Secret of Landscape. He once proudly stated: “Wu Daozi may excel in brush but is lacking in ink. Xiang Rong may excel in ink but is deficient in brushwork.” Thus Honggu himself could make claim for being a master of both. As a result, Guan Tong sought him out as a teacher. He truly was the leading figure at the end of the Tang dynasty. Here I intend to seek out the best [of Jing Hao] while shedding his flaws. Li Shizhuo [3 seals] Zhuo shi; Gu zhai, Yuan zhan shang. [seal, lower right corner] Ji yan jing yan jian xing qing. Inscription: 5 additional seals: 1 of C. C. Wang 王季遷 (1907–2003); 4 unidentified.
