Vizille alabaster; overall: 41.7 x 16.6 x 11.7 cm (16 7/16 x 6 9/16 x 4 5/8 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Purchase from the J. H. Wade Fund 1940.128 During his life, Duke Philip founded the monastery of Chartreuse de Champmol to serve as a final resting place for himself and his family.
