Limestone, originally painted; overall: 30.5 x 18.9 x 24.1 cm (12 x 7 7/16 x 9 1/2 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of the John Huntington Art and Polytechnic Trust 1920.2004 The scribe statue has a long and distinguished history, having first appeared in Dynasty 4 (c. 2613 to 2494 BC).
