Oval portrait of a woman in a Chaghtai hat, c. 1740–50. India, Mughal, 18th century. Opaque watercolor and gold on paper; overall: 9.5 x 7.4 cm (3 3/4 x 2 15/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of J. H. Wade 1920.1967 She holds a delicate jade cup of the type for which the Mughals were famous.
